Zoe Hauser

7th & 8th Grades English Language Arts Teacher

Zoe recently relocated to North Carolina from Florida, where she was a Language Arts teacher at Orange Grove Middle Magnet School of the Arts. She practiced arts integration and incorporated theater, music, and art into the Language Arts curriculum. Whether working on academic or creative projects, Zoe is passionate about helping her students find their voice in writing.

Zoe earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Earlham College. After graduation, Zoe volunteered for a racial justice non-profit organization and has continued those efforts. Her experiences have given her an appreciation for community and the importance of integrating life experience with education.

In addition to teaching, Zoe enjoys writing, hiking, yoga, and international travel. She has traveled to five continents, and Asia is next on the list! Zoe loves languages, and she’s currently studying Spanish in hopes of one day becoming proficient. And as a self-published author, she’s thrown three books into the universe.

Zoe is grateful for the opportunity to join the FernLeaf family. She and her husband, David, are thrilled to now live among the bears and birds of Little Pisgah Mountain.
