Food Service Assistant
Mark Fowler’s passion for his job as a culinary assistant can be traced back to growing up watching his mother cook and working alongside her as he got old enough. He grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina where he learned strategies to cope with dyslexia, and set up his own business preparing and cooking meals for people who were too busy to shop and cook for themselves while he was still in high school.
From 8th grade on, Mark played Varsity Soccer, which taught him how to be a reliable member of a team, learning how to work together to achieve common goals. Those experiences prepared him to learn how to support the Fernleaf Chef in his job as Culinary Assistant.
Mark is a graduate of Grace Academy where he graduated from High School with Academic Honors. When Mark is not busy with his culinary job, he can be found caring for his disabled father and doing all the projects his Special Education teacher mother dreams up for her classroom.
