Kelsey Holt

Kelsey was born in Virginia and moved to the coast of North Carolina when she was ten years old. Growing up, she spent lots of time babysitting family members and neighbors, which sparked her love for working with children. She discovered her passion for teaching while volunteering at a church’s preschool.

Kelsey attended Brevard College, where she studied Early Childhood Education and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree. After falling in love with the mountains, she decided to stick around instead of heading back to the coast. She later returned to Brevard College to earn her Birth–Kindergarten teaching license.

Kelsey began her career teaching preschoolers and has spent the past seven years learning, laughing, and growing alongside young children. She’s excited for a new adventure and to be part of the FernLeaf family. When she’s not in the classroom, Kelsey loves spending time with family and friends, going on adventures with her dog Casper, and enjoying everything mountain life has to offer!
