Hannah Roth
Lower School Counselor
Born and raised on a hazelnut farm in Oregon, Hannah grew up in a family of educators. She has worked with children of all ages in nearly every job she has held - from swim lessons to summer camps - and has always gotten immense joy and meaning out of this work. She is passionate about caring for others and helping young people find and cultivate their strengths, passions, and identities.
After graduating from Azusa Pacific University with a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, she worked as an assistant kindergarten teacher, where her love for the world of education grew. She soon found School Counseling, which melded her passion for education, mental health, and advocacy into one perfect role. She graduated from George Fox University with her Masters in School Counseling in 2021.
Hannah moved to Asheville in 2022, and absolutely fell in love with the Appalachian mountains, as well as with her now fiance. She is excited to be part of the FernLeaf family and join a school that values whole-child learning so deeply. When she is not at school, she enjoys taking her dog for walks, reading, writing, and exploring new places.
