If you’ve taken printmaking before, or if this is your first time, you will love getting inky and exploring the unique process of intaglio! Intaglio is a kind of printmaking where your image is carved into a surface, coated with ink, wiped with a cloth, and then run through a printmaking press to reveal your impressive print! Traditionally, the materials and process to create intaglio prints can be toxic. However, in this class, we will learn accessible and environmentally conscious techniques to create our intaglio prints in a sustainable and safe way.  We will use salvaged Tetra Pak cartons (think soup or juice containers), soy-based intaglio inks, and simple household tools to create your visually rich and unique images.  Each member of this class will create multiple prints using this sustainable and fun process.
