FOOD & TRANSPORTATION
Beginning in the 2021-22 school year, FernLeaf will be partnering with local, healthy food providers to provide lunch options for students and staff at a modest cost. Support for families in need will be provided based on Federal Poverty Guidelines. Using the school's MyPaymentPlus platform, we will have a streamlined and simple system for scheduling payment for food directly to the Creek Campus each school day.
FernLeaf will also provide vending machines with healthier food and beverage options.
Also beginning in the 21-22 school year, FernLeaf will be building its fleet of transportation vehicles to help students and families with access to school and fieldwork opportunities.
FernLeaf will offer morning pickup and afternoon drop off in convenient locations throughout the Asheville and Hendersonville area. Although parents will still be an important part of fieldwork, we will ease the burden on families by providing school transportation to support our 8+ fieldwork activities per student per year.
