Rob Hunnicutt
5-8 EC Resource & Inclusion Teacher
Rob was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, but has had the opportunity to live all across the country over the years. He graduated from Rollins College with a degree in Theater Arts. This is where he met his college sweetheart and future wife. They now have four kids, two teenagers and two toddlers. Their life is an incredibly fun rollercoaster that is certainly never boring.
Several years ago, Rob found himself tutoring his son who was struggling a bit with certain classes. The tutoring experience was so fulfilling that his wife suggested that he change career direction and go into education. It was a leap of faith, but she couldn’t have been more right. Rob immediately felt a true calling to the work and is now very proud that his son has graduated from high school with honors and is now attending Georgia State University.
Rob and his wife Megan very recently decided to uproot from Newnan, Georgia and move to North Carolina as another leap of faith. They love the environment here and one of the major factors of the decision to move was FernLeaf. He was lucky enough to happen upon FernLeaf while researching the best possible schools for his three daughters, and is now very grateful to have been welcomed into the community as a teacher. He is now certain beyond a reasonable doubt that FernLeaf and North Carolina were the best possible decisions that he and his wife could have made for their family.
Rob spends most of his free time with his family, because that is where his greatest happiness lies. He also has an enormous love for his two dogs “Juju” and “Gypsy” and his cat...”Cat”. He also enjoys writing and recording music, collecting rare musical instruments, and woodworking. FernLeaf has completely reinvigorated his passion for education and cannot wait to get started in this new endeavor!
