Matt Polito

From the coal mining communities of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the culinary scene of the South, Matt's path has been a fulfilling one. He arrived in South Carolina in 1997, eventually earning an Associate's degree from Johnson & Wales in Charleston. His career as a chef took him to acclaimed restaurants in Atlanta, but it was at Le Cordon Bleu in Atlanta that he discovered the immense satisfaction of teaching. This newfound passion led him to complete his teaching degree at Coastal Carolina University. After a year teaching in Horry County, Matt's continued his journey in upstate South Carolina where he lives with Missy his girlfriend of 14 years and their two miniature dachshunds Ginger 13 and Suzy 1. Together they enjoy camping, kayaking and hiking all over the south east.
