Alexandra Bowes
5th - 11th Grades EC Assistant Teacher
Alexandra's passion for supporting students with special needs is grounded in her vision for an accepting and inclusive community where each member may thrive as their unique selves. She values having fun while encouraging all students along their journeys to discover their individual strengths, build positive interpersonal skills, and achieve academic success.
In 2011 Alexandra was nominated to be a Project Unify ambassador. Her experiences with this program empowered her to explore creative ways of bringing awareness to the inclusion model and fostering positive changes in local schools. From then on, she has continued to utilize her flexible mindset to reduce barriers and create avenues for meaningful moments of connection between students and the world around them.
Movement, meditation, and mindful awareness are the currents behind the flow of Alexandra’s days. She deeply resonates with FernLeaf’s thoughtful mission for school culture and student success. Alexandra is also an artist, a parent, and an enthusiastic lifelong learner. When she is not at FernLeaf she can be found playing with watercolors, rock climbing, running, gardening, and dancing with her children.
