Tereasa Hudson

Tereasa’s passion for teaching elementary-aged children began long before she stepped into a classroom. Through early learning co-ops and Montessori experiences with her two daughters, she discovered a deep appreciation for nurturing curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Raised on a horse farm in Boone, North Carolina, Tereasa spent her childhood immersed in nature and adventure. From picking blueberries and apples to exploring the woods with her Great Dane and caring for the farm’s horses, she developed a strong connection to the outdoors and a love for hands-on learning that continues to influence her teaching today.

When her youngest daughter started kindergarten, Tereasa officially began her career in education. She worked in a Title I program at a local public school, supporting students from kindergarten through fourth grade. It was there that she realized her calling to become an elementary educator and pursued her K–6 teaching certification. During this time, she had the privilege of learning alongside an exceptional team of educators who helped shape her teaching philosophy and commitment to student growth. She also served as the leader of her school’s Sunshine Committee, creating opportunities to strengthen relationships, celebrate staff, and foster a positive school culture.

Tereasa is a graduate of UNC Asheville, where she earned a degree in Management and Marketing. When she is not in the classroom, she enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, gardening, practicing yoga, spending time with her two daughters, and loving on her two dogs. She is dedicated to creating a nurturing, engaging learning environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to learn.
