Seraphim Cass

Seraphim hails from western North Carolina, growing up bouncing between the rural woods of Sylva and Flat Rock. They graduated with a bachelor’s in English in December 2023 from Western Carolina University. With dreams of becoming a public children’s librarian, Seraphim focused on literary studies and youth education. In addition, they pursued a minor in Parks and Recreation Management, embracing experiential education and learning how to apply it to their work. 

Seraphim’s recent jobs include providing after school care with the Boys and Girls Club in Cashiers, NC, as well as finishing a five-summer gig working with youth at Camp Daniel Boone in Canton, NC. Both jobs allowed the facilitation of experiential education and the exercising and teaching of Seraphim’s outdoor skills. When Seraphim is not working, they can be found walking their dog in the woods, starting home improvement projects, or searching for crayfish in the local rivers.
