Miranda Burle
1st Grade Teacher Assistant
I was born in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to North Carolina with my family when I was around 6 years old. I was homeschooled for most of my childhood and spent a lot of time outdoors with my other homeschooled friends. I didn't have much experience in more traditional school settings, but I always enjoyed hands-on learning and learning about different cultures around the world in particular.
When I was 21, I briefly went to school for pottery and art. While I still focus on my art, I spent a lot of time working after leaving school. I worked various jobs for a few years, but after working in a daycare, I realized that working with kids was what I wanted to do long term. Getting to see the kids I work with grow and learn and seeing their personalities has been a wonderful experience, and I am happy to be a part of it.
Outside of school, I enjoy drawing, crafting, cooking, and spending time outdoors in whatever way I can. I spend a lot of time with my two cats and caring for my chickens.
