David Hoover

Dave has a strong background in special education, school counseling, and academic intervention, with many years dedicated to supporting students’ growth. A Pittsburgh native (Go Steelers!), he is passionate about education and helping students overcome challenges to reach their full potential.

Dave has worked with diverse student populations, offering tailored support to meet their unique needs. His experience in special education emphasizes patience, empathy, and individualized instruction, while his work in counseling has guided students through crucial academic stages.

Outside of work, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He also loves fly-fishing, biking, and coaching tennis and flag football. Dave is really excited to join the FernLeaf team and looks forward to making a positive impact on the community.
