Nancy Culpepper

3rd Grade Teacher

Nancy was raised in Columbus, Georgia, where she always knew she wanted to be a teacher. Her passion for teaching stemmed from growing up in a family of educators, and centers around community and building positive relationships with her students and their families.

She is also a certified yoga instructor. While living in Colorado, she taught yoga for several years. She loves bringing her experiences with yoga into the classroom to help teach her students about mindfulness. Additionally, Nancy was selected as a Teacher Leader in Mathematics for Cobb County School District. This experience helped to shape her as an innovative teacher of mathematics, and enjoys bringing what she learned into the classroom.

Nancy is a graduate of Columbus State University, where she majored in Early Childhood Education. She also earned her Masters in Elementary Reading and Mathematics from Walden University. When she is not teaching, you can find her hiking, mountain biking, or eating tacos somewhere around Asheville with her husband, Wesley, and their dog, Etta.
