Meredith Foley
1st Grade Assistant Teacher
Meredith grew up in the outskirts of Boston, Massachusetts and spent winter
weekends in the White Mountains of New England. As such, moving to WNC in
2018 immediately brought back the familiarity of the Appalachians. Her heart has
always belonged to those mountains - from childhood vacations in New
Hampshire, to trips to Vermont with her husband, and now right in their back
yard.
Meredith’s experience with education began with homeschooling two of her three
boys, one through his high school career and the other (Phoenix) from
kindergarten through 4th grade. When Phoenix began attending FernLeaf for 5th
grade, Meredith knew that she wanted to be a part of the FernLeaf community
herself. She feels fortunate that the stars aligned and she was able to fulfill that
dream.
A first-generation college graduate, Meredith earned her Bachelors in General
Studies from SNHU. She and her wonderful husband live in Fletcher with
Phoenix, their slightly insane amount of pets and Meredith’s mild houseplant
obsession.
