Meredith Bowles

Meredith has worked in a wide array of therapeutic, education, and child care settings and is passionate about helping to make a lasting difference in childrens' lives. During an internship as an student teacher in an elementary school, she met the school's SLP, which sparked her interest in exceptional children's programs and learning to meet unique needs of students with speech and language disorders. She believes that all students are able to grow and achieve amazing new skills given the support they need. This is Meredith's fourth year providing speech pathology services in charter schools and she thrives upon working alongside parents, teachers and other related service providers to help students build confidence and reach their goals. 

Meredith completed both her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology at Appalachian State University. She grew up in Winston Salem, NC and when living in Boone, she began to call the mountains home. Meredith moved to the Asheville area last year and is always looking for good suggestions for new adventures in this beautiful piece of western NC! She enjoys yoga, reading and traveling. On the weekends, you can typically find her at a concert or outside hiking, paddle boarding, climbing, or snowboarding.
