Meredith Bowles
Speech Language Pathologist
Meredith has worked in a wide array of therapeutic, education, and child care settings (private practice, schools, childrens' museums, homes, camps, via telehealth, etc.) and is passionate about helping to make a difference in childrens' lives.
During an internship as an student teacher in an elementary school, she met the school's SLP, which sparked her interest into helping students learn in a different way. She believes that all students are able to grow and achieve amazing new skills given the support they need. This is Meredith's third year providing speech therapy services in charter schools and she thrives upon working alongside parents, teachers and other therapists to help students build confidence and reach their goals.
Meredith completed both her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology at Appalachian State University. She grew up in Winston Salem, NC and spent many of her recent years in Boone, where she began to call the mountains home. Meredith recently moved to the Asheville area and is always looking for good suggestions for new adventures in this beautiful piece of western NC! She enjoys yoga, reading and traveling. On the weekends, you can typically find her at a concert or outside hiking, paddle boarding, climbing, or snowboarding.
