Erika Jordan

Exceptional Children Teacher

Erika's passion for teaching students with special needs can be traced back to being the older sibling of a person with Autism. She grew up in Miami, where she has over 20 years of experience working with children with special needs as a resource provider, behavior therapist, and teacher for 8 years.


Erika thrives working with diverse learner styles and values differentiating instruction to cater to the individual needs of her students while honoring their emotions & interests. The experiences growing up with her brother prepared her to serve children from all walks of life with special needs.


Erika is a graduate of University of Delaware & Florida International University, where she majored in Psychology for her bachelors and Exceptional Student Education for her masters degree. Certified as a 200RYS instructor, she has led classes ranging from kids yoga, meditation, to vinyasa yoga & has incorporated these practices in the classroom for her students along the years. When she is not busy with teaching, she can be found hiking, dancing, singing, & spending time with her husband & son.
