Abigail Pierce

1st Grade Assistant Teacher

Abigail's passion for being a Teacher Assistant can be traced back to spending the last 6 summers in Western North Carolina working at a children’s summer camp. She grew up in Macon, Georgia.

Abigail spent the past five years working in the field of agriculture and education - from managing student farms across Georgia, to a permaculture farm in Costa Rica, and a food hub in Michigan. Those experiences prepared her to work within the public school system in Georgia to provide hands-on garden and nutrition education for students in grades K-5.

Abigail is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she majored in Agricultural Communications. When she is not busy teaching, she can be found spending time outdoors, tending her gardening, or reading a good historical fiction novel.
